No need to negotiate with the United States: Kim's sister Jung

Kim) Sister Kim Yoo-jung.  He says there is no need for another summit of his country with the United States until Washington makes a "decisive change" in its policy.

Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump first met in Singapore two years ago.  They have met twice before, but disagreements over the lifting of sanctions on North Korea in exchange for destroying its nuclear weapons have led to the Hanoi summit being scrapped in early 2019.

Trump said this week that he would discuss the issue with Kim again, the AFP news agency reported.  Trump hopes the meeting could help protect his image in the upcoming election.
However, in a statement to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Yoo-jung said that there was no need for us to hold talks with the United States.  At this time it is not possible to discuss nuclear disarmament.  Only personal interests will prevail in this meeting.

Kim Jong Un, Kim Jong Un's successor, said the meeting would only show the other side's pride.  The meeting is possible only if they take big steps like lifting the ban.  Kim Yoo-jung said the statement was his personal point of view.  He said Brother Kim Jong-un trusted him and greeted President Trump.

The remarks came a day after US Assistant Secretary of State Stephen Beagan ended a three-day visit to South Korea with his sister, known as Kim Jong-un's influential adviser.  Beagan expressed Trump's interest in meeting with Kim during his visit.

Washington has deployed 26,500 troops in the south.
Pyongyang believes that nuclear weapons are needed to protect itself from US attacks.

Kim Jong Un announced a moratorium on nuclear and ballistic missile tests in December last year.  Pyongyang is with Washington until it changes its violent attitude towards North Korea
