Russia returns to grain export deal

Russia will again participate in the agreement on the export of food grains from Ukrainian ports through the Black Sea through the mediation of the United Nations. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this information on Wednesday.

Ukraine's grain shipments have resumed after Russia's announcement. Apart from this, the prices of wheat, soybeans, corn and mustard have decreased significantly in the world market. Moscow announced it would not participate in the deal this week, citing Ukraine's attack on a Russian fleet in the Black Sea. News from Reuters and Al Jazeera.
In a statement on Wednesday, Russia's Defense Ministry said security guarantees have been obtained at the moment, which the Russian Federation considers appropriate, and that the implementation of the agreement is resuming.  #Russia returns to grain export deal

Wednesday's statement is seen as a U-turn on Russia's recent stance. Earlier, Moscow claimed that shipping through the humanitarian corridor was dangerous and unacceptable.

This grain export agreement was initiated by the United Nations with the aim of bringing more wheat, sunflower oil and fertilizer to the world market to prevent famine in poor countries and prevent food prices from increasing dramatically. #russianews

The UN coordinator for overseeing grain and fertilizer exports under the deal said on Twitter on Tuesday that he expects several cargo ships to leave Ukrainian ports on Thursday. #putinnews
